Randy Smith is a normal teenager, whose passion is to drive around Carson City on his motorcycle at night.
On his way home from a party, he drives down Highway 580, when he is suddenly blinded by a flash of bright light directly in front of him. He swerves and he and his Honda CR80R come crashing to the ground.
When Randy wakes up, he finds himself in a secret-service hospital. A masked doctor informs him that limbs and organs in his body have been removed and replaced with mechanical parts.
His new purpose is to carry out covert assassinations for the government.
Seeing his body, Randy realises he has been made into a cyborg.
In severe pain, he frees himself from the restraints that have been placed on him and attempts to flee. With a superhuman leap over the security fence, he manages to escape from the hospital.
A dramatic chase across the Nevada desert ensues.
Eventually, utilising his new body parts, he evades his pursuers.
Wandering in the desert under a clear sky, he vows to use his newfound speed and strength for good.
This is the beginning of the story of him, who those who have seen him call:

Sferro has a solid debut EP with a few experiments in reversing the sound that come at the end of "Auto" and "Wetware". I dig the former, with its powerful chords and descending 6/8 hook, and I could listen to "Wetware" forever; it's got a great atmosphere and melody. "Intelligent" brings some of the funk and a cool beat and a distorted synth lead. The dark atmosphere of "Low Life" is really cool; a shame it's over so quick. The Tommy remix of "Auto" makes it just as dreamy as the title track. kmxexii
